How to avoid honeypot tokens
Honeypots are one of the most common crypto scams on BNB Chain, Ethereum and Base. The contract looks normal, the chart only goes up, and buyers pile in, but the code quietly blocks every sell except the owner's.
Before buying any new token, check three things: the sell simulation passes, the sell tax is low and can't be changed, and ownership is renounced. Our checker shows all three at once, plus a Sniper Score that combines them with liquidity and holder data.

What is a honeypot token?
A honeypot is a token whose contract lets you buy but stops you from selling, or charges such a high sell tax that selling is pointless. The price chart looks great because nobody can sell.
How does the honeypot checker work?
We run the contract through GoPlus Security, which simulates a buy and a sell and inspects the code for sell restrictions, blacklists, adjustable taxes, pausable trading and hidden owners.
Can a token pass the check and still be a scam?
Yes. A contract can be changed later if the owner kept control, and developers can still remove liquidity. Check ownership, the liquidity lock and holder concentration too; they are all on the token page.
Which chains are supported?
Ethereum, BNB Chain (BSC), Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon and Solana. On Solana we check mint and freeze authority instead of sell simulation.
